Hold My TQ wants to make tourniquet bleed control kits as common as flashlights or holding a set of car keys.
Severe bleeding can become fatal in just three to five minutes. Lives can be saved not only by bystanders who are prepared to act. Hold My TQ exists to make tourniquets and bleed control kits within reach when seconds matter.
Why Tourniquets and Bleed Control Kits Matter
The average ambulance takes more than seven minutes to arrive. In that time, severe bleeding can become deadly. A tourniquet or bleed control kit close at hand can bridge the gap and save a life.
We’re building a movement of community readiness. Every person, trained or not, has a heroic role to play.
If You’re Already Prepared
If you already carry a tourniquet and have Stop the Bleed® or M.A.R.C.H. training, you’re the foundation of this movement. Your next mission is to share what you know by gifting a TQ to someone you trust and asking them to Hold My TQ.
If You’re New to TQs
Maybe you’ve never held a tourniquet before. That’s okay. You don’t need to be a medic to make a difference. By keeping one in your car, purse, or desk, you’re giving trained helpers the tools they need to save lives.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a tourniquet used for?
A tourniquet is used to stop life-threatening bleeding from an arm or leg when direct pressure isn’t enough.
Is it safe for non-medical people to use a tourniquet?
Yes. The U.S. military and Stop the Bleed program train everyday people to apply tourniquets safely and effectively. Quick bystander response can be the heroic action a victim needs to survive.
Is losing a limb a possibility when applying a toruniquet?
Where should I keep a tourniquet or bleed control kit?
Keep one in your car, backpack, purse, or desk – anywhere you spend time daily. For most individuals, keeping one at home and one in your vehicle is a great start.
How can I learn to Stop the Bleed?
Visit StopTheBleed.com to find free local classes and online resources. There are also good online training to be found that offer M.A.R.C.H. training. M.A.R.C.H stands for (Massive hemorrhage, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, and Hypothermia)
Where do I buy a tourniquet and bleed control kit?
There are a few good vendors online that provide quality tools. At this time we do not want to endorse any one vendor, but we encourage you to do your own research. Be cautious with third-party selling on big online marketplaces. Look for trusted medical suppliers instead.
Hold My TQ hopes to partner with trusted vendors in the future to offer the best quality tools and training. Stay tuned.
